We study what the best Farmers do - From generalist to specialist
When we learn the Farming or business ropes, we cast the net wide. We learn a range of skills so we can connect the dots. That's a good thing to do. As we get older, wiser and more experienced, we start to specialise more. We drop things off that we are not good at or don’t enjoy doing. We do things that we do well.
But the way to make it in Farming or in business is to go from generalist to specialist as quickly as you can. Work out what you are good at and hook right in. Make the mistakes, gain the experience, and you will fast-track your progress. We see young Farmers and businesspeople in their late 20s and early 30s who are making huge waves. All because they went from generalist to specialist quicker than anyone else. They invariably become the best.
