We study what the best Farmers do - How an industry might miss out.
Why isn’t the Sheep industry talking about Virtual Fencing? In Monday's newsletter, we asked why LambEx doesn’t have anything about Virtual Fencing on the agenda. The Beef and Dairy industries are falling over each other to adopt this technology. And I can’t understand why the Sheep industry isn’t saying “what about us”. You can see the day where Beef will be stealing acres off the Sheep guys on the back of this advancement.
Our latest stories:
There is a hauling mob out of the Pibara who cart 44,000 tonnes of stuff a day. They do 113,000km a day, and use 150,000 litres of fuel a day. We wrote their story.
Are we seeing the demise of the paddock as we know it? It’s changing with Virtual Fencing in the Beef and Dairy games. And one Cropping person said the focus is now on plants and not paddocks.
The George Foreman Grill made George $550 million. He had some luck along the way, and it was an era when we trimmed and drained the fat from all the meat we ate.
It’s a great line this": “Success leaves clues”. We wrote a story about some of the clues we pick up from surrounding ourselves with the best Farmers.
The Hay season looks as though it might be a month or so early this year. This will create its own set of opportunities and problems. We elaborate.
We wrote about what playing sport taught us about business and life. What did it teach you?
Guest columnist, the talented Caleb Schwartz, wrote about the meaning of work.
We wrote about stacking commodities, which was a popular subject. Stacking can also help you manipulate the market in order to get a better price. One Farmer explains how.
There are so many things we can leverage in business and in life. But the ultimate is the “legacy leverage” We explain what we mean by that.
With all the talk about Chinese Machinery, a mate of mine went and bought a Chinese Truck. After 300,000 km he has given it the tick of approval.
Guest columnist Michael Bagshaw wrote about when things go wrong on the Farm: do you have a cool head, or are you one of the ones that tends to lose it a bit?
Have a great Wednesday, and don’t be like the Sheep industry and miss the latest trend.
