• Turning up is one greatest things you can do - Not enough of us are turning up in business or in life. By that, we mean we do what we say we are going to do. It's really as simple as that, but boy, it's a hard act to follow for many people. It's a conscious and respect thing. It's a good one to ponder. For us, turning up means we have a deadline to meet each day.

• Podcast preview - Barry Clark - We recorded this podcast with Barry Clark live at a conference, and I had the pleasure of co-hosting this interview with the affable and ultra-professional Kirsten Diprose. This one is a real standout story on so many fronts, and it's chock-full of great business lessons and takeaways. In this podcast, you have to listen intently and perhaps replay some of the points to find the take-home bits. This is one hell of a listen. • Our latest stories:

• We talk about how Barry Clark (our latest podcast) was the right person in the right place at the right time to disarm the person on the Jestar flight last year. This is a gripping story.

• Truckie meet Shearer - That's what Lindsay Fox said when he came to Barry Clark's Perricoota Station to thank him for his heroic deed at Avalon Airport.

• ACM, the owner of The Land, Stock Journal, etc are in a bit of a pickle with its biggest stakeholder, Antony Catalano, heading to court for beating his wife.

• We do a preview of the behind-the-paywall edition of the Barry Clark podcast.

• We have noticed that the very best Farmers have mathematical minds. They are crunching the numbers in their head.

• One subscriber sent in that they have only had 10mm for the year, and that this might be a good year to have a drought.

• Our saving grace in the Cropping game is that we haven't sown the Winter Crop yet. So we aren't locked in. We explain further.

• We go deep into what we are calling "Replacement Agriculture". We take nutrients from the soil through production, and then have to replace what we took.

• If we learn more, we are able to have better conversations, and by having better conversations, we learn even more again. Don't underestimate the power of knowledge.
