• Better get a newsletter - I have a mate who's in Marketing, and he said he's facilitated about 1000 1st newsletters and 3 2nd ones for his customers. Businesses get this rush of blood thinking they need to utilise their database better and be in touch with their customers and potential customers more often. That's totally right. Your database is your greatest communication asset, and it needs to be used. It's something you need to commit time to. It shits over all the other more traditional marketing avenues that are now expensive. Your database is free, and sending an email newsletter costs bugger all. If you're not sending a newsletter, you are missing out. Better get a newsletter.....

• Our most recent writings:

• A mate of mine just bought a small Farm which is impressive. But what impressed me more was the deal he did. We explain.

• We wrote an article back in 2023 that said net zero would cost us billions here in Australia for no net gain. Apparently, it's now past 1 trillion. Will net zero send us into an economic doomsday?

• Charlie Blomfield has entered the realm of celebrity Farmer. Read about what he has done to be awarded that accolade.

• A subscriber who attended a Farm Tender conference received advice on how to go about buying out the neighbour. He followed the person's advice, and this week, after 2 years, the Property changed hands. It's a great story, this one.

• It's hard to deal with stuff when times are tough. We tend to sweep things under the carpet, and then they become bigger problems. The proactive amongst us are on the front foot with this. We explain what they do.

• We wrote about Barry Clark and how he's bought and sold 15 Farms. Rule number 1 is that he doesn't fall in love with them. In Ag, most of us do fall in love with our Farms and what we do. We wrote about the contrasting emotions.
