Knowledge gets you respect from your Farming peers. How is that you say? Here's a scenario. It's good to know the Wool price indicator if you are a Cropping Farmer. We post all the Wool market results, you scroll down, look at it and see the EMI (Eastern Market Indicator) is at 1693c/kg, and it's then implanted in the brain as knowledge. Simple as that. Next time you are talking to someone who grows Wool, you know the price and roughly how they are going, and they will respect you for that. Gathering knowledge doesn't require you to read long-winded books; it can be fleeting.
Hay Report - Check out the latest Farm Tender Hay Report here.
What we wrote about since Wednesday's free edition:
How I was told 30 years ago that the Mallee weather was going to become the Wimmera weather. Nothing really changed.
How a Tyre shop is flat out on the back of the potholed roads, and we relate it back to Ag and who is benefiting from someone else's pain.
Has the lack of diversity of the Corn/Soybean rotation come back to bite US Midwest Farmers?
We question why they built the Isis Downs Woolshed as a round shed. Did the owners at the time want to make a statement because it never caught on?
We revisit an old survey we did, asking what the main problem Farmers had at that particular time. We were surprise to find out that no two problems were the same.
We dig deep into the age problem in Ag and whether it's a real issue at all.
One of our Farmer subscribers operates a side-hustle horse stud and uses cameras to monitor the mares; he also employs Filipinos to monitor the foaling mares 24/7. Genius idea.
We had a Farmer who is quitting his SP Sprayer he bought 2 years ago, because he just wants to retire a bit of debt. He said he bought too many toys back when they had a couple of cracking years and when those tax incentives were around.
Plus a whole lot more.
Have a great Saturday, and subscribe to stay βknowledged upβ.
