  • What the best Farmers do - On Thursday, I was lucky enough to get a presentation gig at one of our Farmers subscribers’ strategic planning meetings. They are a decent-sized operation with 100 staff and 5 or 6 different divisions. One of the things I presented was a dozen things the Top Farmers do well. It made me realise what a privileged position we are in, because we have access to the best Farming and Ag business operations in the country. The transfer of wisdom and knowledge is what stands out.

  • Our latest writings:

  • We wrote about a “sit with” job I had, where I relayed what the best Farmers do.

  • Have you ever heard of working in blocks and how good it is? We explain in an article today.

  • Many Farmers have based their honeymoon around doing Farm thing. Some things we do with intention, and some we don’t. We outlined some of the best.

  • We had 2 contrasting seats at the table. One was with a group of people who rely on government funding to play the game; the other is more like us, just making things work through business and how it was designed to work. The attitudes are completely different. Very interesting, the contrast.

  • We will build more Feedlots because of our variable Climate. No climate change, but a variable one. It’s a very interesting subject.

  • Our guest columnist, Vic Hoffmann Dohle, wrote about “The Budget” from a Farmer's perspective. It’;s a brilliant article.

  • We need to learn more about our money story. It’s so important to our business and to our lives. Some are doing it well, and we explain how.

  • If we are starting out in business or just want to get somewhere as a young person, we should be sending “F#*k Off” emails. We explain why.

  • Our guest columnist Bec Lindert says she has had a gutful of Canberra. It’s a passionate plea…..

  • Have a great Saturday, and subscribe so you can have ready access to what the best Farmers do.
